5 Effective Life Stress Busters

By Johnson Star | November 1, 2009 | Popularity: unranked (?)

Getting burned out because of all the pressures you are dealing with every day? Maybe you’re not managing them properly or not handling them at all. In order to perform all your daily duties effectively you will need to take care of all the stresses that may get thrown in your direction. Here are five effective life stress management tips that will surely lift yours spirits up when you are starting to feel stress drag your feet through the ground.

First tip would be to change the way that you think. Changing your attitude towards how you perceive and think about things that you consider threats will create a big impact on your coping and dealing skills. This tip is probably the most important and most difficult to master because you will be basically developing a new habit that is specifically designed to help you with stress.

Be selfish once in a while. Set aside some alone time. Spend time with yourself, no other people around, no friends, and no loved ones, just you. Doing this is more important than you think. It helps you regain your focus, and reenergizes your mind and body at the same time.

Exercise is a good way to fight exercise. Regardless of the kind of exercise, it helps fight stress. During exercise, your body releases hormones that help you feel relaxed. Find an exercise that you want to do. Pick one that you think is easy and one that you’re comfortable with.

Widen your network of support. When times get difficult it’s comforting to know that there will be people there that can help you out. Reach out to important people in your life from time to time, this will show them that they are important to you and will return this favor when you need help in the future.

The last, but not the least, tip is realization. Understand that there are some things in life that just cannot be resolved, or sometimes, cannot be solved by you. It’s a waste of ammunition if you’re firing on something on the other side of the bulletproof glass. The more you dwell on one problem; you lose time and other things pileup on you – creating stress.

There is a saying that “life’s not fair”. Life is never fair. It is how we perceive things that cause us a lot of problems. There will always be problems in our life, and it is our job to handle whatever is thrown at us. Without proper knowledge and technique on stress management, however, you are more likely to break down.
