Lose excess stomach fat that has accumulated in the stomach area. When we eat large amounts of food and don’t use up or burn the calories, the food is converted into fat and stored in our abdomen. Especially, when we overeat, don’t do very much physical activity and have a highly stressful life.
When we over eat, we consume excess calories that our bodies cannot consume and utilize as an energy source. The excess food that we don’t use is turned into fat and stored in our stomach region.
We need to watch our intake of food and ensure we consume quality foods more often through out the day. If we decrease the meal portions and increase the number of meals per day, we enable our bodies to maintain a more stable blood sugar and keep up our energy level throughout the day.
One key factor in controlling excess stomach fat is exercise. When there is a lack of or the amount of physical activity is not even with our food intake, the excess food is stored as fat in the stomach area. When we increase our exercise patterns, it allows our bodies to increase our metabolism, which allows the body to further burn excess fat from the stomach.
By coordinating the two factors of increasing exercise activity and decreasing the amount of food we consume, our body not only burns the calories from the food we ate but also helps reduce the excess fat from our stomach.
Recent studies have shown that when a person is under a lot of stress, they are prone to excess fat accumulation in the stomach area. Stress causes the release of the Cortisol hormone, which is the cause of the fat storage in the stomach region.
When the stressful situation occurs, the body is placed in a survival mode and stores fat in the stomach area, so it can be used as fuel later. The body goes into a protective mode and stores the fat in case it is needed to fuel bodily functions.
Reducing excess stomach fat can be achieved by, watching what we eat, how much we eat, increasing our exercise activity and lowering our levels of stress. When we can monitor and control how we react to stress, we are able to decrease the hormones that cause fat storage in the area of the stomach. By controlling these factors, we can reduce excess stomach fat.
