Macromedia Flash Macromedia Flash, or simply Flash, refers to both the Macromedia Flash Player and to a multimedia authoring program used to create content for this platform (such as games and movies). It is considered the industry standard in most, if not all, jobs related to the use of visual elements. It is usually referred to simply as "Photoshop". Adobe Indesign Adobe InDesign is a desktop publishing (DTP) application produced by Adobe Systems. Launched as a direct competitor to QuarkXPress, it initially had difficulty in converting users. In 2002, however, it outsold its competitor, partially because it was first to release a Mac OS X-native version.
