There are two main types of water filters that are installed under the sink. One is the activated carbon system and the other is the reverse osmosis system. Whichever system you choose, you will be assuring you and your family of clean, fresh, pure and healthy drinking water. So many of us today choose to go out and buy bottled drinking water because we are afraid of the contaminants in the water. This can get expensive, so an under the sink system is a much better idea.

The first filter removes larger particles and then the water is forced through a membrane that removes even the smallest particles. The water then is stored in a tank, and the remaining impurities are filtered through carbon and these impurities are flushed completely out of the system.

There is a large variety in both of these types of systems, and you can find water filtering systems that cost as little as $50 as well as systems that cost hundreds of dollars.
