It’s vacation time! "Travel and Leisure" magazine published the winners of their twelfth annual survey. The magazine picked the world's most interesting cities, islands and hotels.

World’s best cities
The readers of the magazine look for “authentic experiences”, perhaps art and architecture in favorite European destinations like Florence, urban buildings in New York or exotic destinations such as Udaipur and Istanbul.

1) Florence
• Readers like Firenze for culture, arts and shopping.
2) Buenos Aires
• Buenos Aires ranks high for value, shopping, restaurants and food.
3) Bangkok
• Two of the best hotels in Asia are in Bangkok.
4) Rome
• Readers like the “eternal city” for its sights, culture and arts.
5) Sydney
• The city wins high praise for its friendly population

6) New York City
• Readers like the Big Apple for its food, restaurants and shopping, and culture, museums and arts.
7) Udaipur, India
• Readers like the low prices and the good value of this city.
8) Istanbul
• Readers enjoy the sites and the culture and arts.
9) San Francisco
• Readers mentioned the City by the Bay for restaurants and food.
10) Cape Town
• This South African city ranks high in friendly people.
• It is also close to the African bush.
