The Ulimate Great Outdoor BBQs

When we think of great outdoor bbq's we think of a social function where we have friends and family gather. It's not just about the sizzling sausages, or the burgers and the fish dishes or side dishes that compliment our grilled food. Like heck it's not. It's all the above and lots more. Planning and some fore thought before the great outdoor bbq's will ensure that it will be successful.
We try hard to create great outdoor bbq's. It's something that we long for all during the winter long after being cooped up inside. When the sun breaks out we start enjoying the back yard and the outdoors. And we should forget when we eat outdoors it adds that something special to the atmosphere.
Food often tastes a lot better when cooked outside on the barbecue. We tend to be a lot more adventurous at great outdoor bbq's than we would otherwise, tasting the different foods and dishes. Forget the diets, they go out the window.
We balance all the meat we added on out plate by piling up the salad. Why do we do this? It's certainly not through guilt, probably because the food is so colorful and tasty. I think we can assume the sunshine helps in all this by bringing out the colors. This makes us eat a lot more than we would if we were inside.
When grilling your famous burgers don't forget to add the buns. Make sure the buns are fresh. You should also consider fresh, crusty bread like the French stick. The French stick is certainly a favorite at the great outdoor bbqs table. Wrap the French stick in a towel and place in the middle of the table on a long dish. Place some covered butter on the table as well. Now we don't want bugs and flies hovering around our great outdoor bbq's!
With some planning and fore thought you can come up with some easy and quick recipes that can be chilled in the fridge the night before your great outdoor bbqs. One such quick and easy recipe is the potato salad. Cook the potato the night before and cut into quarters, next add mayonnaise to taste and chopped chives. If you don't already know, freeze dried chives have a stronger flavor than fresh chives.
At any great outdoor bbq's providing side dishes sets the appetite going and is not that hard to prepare once some fore thought has been put in. You will be envied and most certainly be talk of the town about your great outdoor bbqs.
