The Synergy of Affluence
By: Kenrick Cleveland
I'm so excited about a fairly recent addition to my coaching club: one-on-one calls with my students. These calls give us an opportunity to get into all kinds of things, from persuasion, affluence, and specialized help for specific areas where there might be struggle, to more spiritual matters. It seems like I'm getting as much out of these calls as my students.
Well, this last month I was on one of these one-on-one calls with a member who deals in million dollar real estate sales who said to me, 'We're finding that those people (the affluent) are so much nicer to work with. They're appreciative and they express their appreciation and they never complain and we just were marveling at how wonderful they've been to work with.'
In pointing this out, he was in no way suggesting that non-affluent people aren't nice or that you have to have a lot of money in order to be appreciative or kind. He was simply pointing out that when there is no issue of scarcity or lack, it allows people to really express the abundance in their lives to the fullest.
As sales people, we hear 'I can't afford it' a lot. Price objections are very plentiful, especially when dealing with big ticket items.
When we work with an affluent clientle, that's not going to be the objection.
I really noticed something wonderful at the last seminar that just took place in Chicago. Our group is coming together in the most phenomenal way. With this we're getting the most amazing results from the synergy of this group. Incomes are going up. Business is flourishing. People are really feeling the energy of abundance.
The affluent clientle and those who work with the affluent (and who, much of the time are affluent as a result), these are the people we want to work with. They're nice. They're kind. They're considerate. They got where they are by being smart and good people.
Another reason we should target the affluent: you don't have to close too many million or multi-million dollar deals to start really making some money. This allows you to 'work smart' instead of working hard.
What are you doing to put yourself into the flow of affluence?
