The Perfect Hairstyle Using A Ceramic Flat Iron
By: Tammi Marcelyn
Ceramic flat irons can be found in every salon and the majority of homes today, but it is difficult for women to get the results they want if they don't understand how to properly use a ceramic flat iron. This article will help you get the easy, beautiful hairstyle that we are all striving for. There are 5 simple steps to help you achieve the hairstyle of your dreams using a ceramic flat iron:
1. Always shampoo and condition your hair, it provides a good base to start on. Removing the excess grease and oils will leave your hair lighter and full of body. Also, blow dry your hair after washing to prep the hair before styling.
2. When you turn on your ceramic flat iron, determine what hair type you have and set the temperature gauge accordingly. If your hair is thicker and course use a higher heat setting. On the other hand, you should use a lower temperature if you hair is damaged or thin. It is advised to start with a lower temperature first to avoid damage-- if you are not getting the results you are looking for you can increase the temperature.
3. Secure most of your hair on top of your head, to allow you to start with the bottom portion of your hair. Starting with the bottom of your hair makes the entire process much easier, and you will be more happy with the results. Finish each section that you are straightening, then pull down the next section and straighten it with the ceramic flat iron. Follow this process until you have moved through all the sections of your hair.
4. Most ceramic flat irons only require you go run it through your hair once or twice, don't overdo the section that you are working on. If your hair requires more than one or two pass overs, turn up the temperature on the flat iron.
5. When you are finished straightening all of your hair, let it sit for a minute and then look to make sure there weren't any spots missed. Use a small hand mirror to view the back of your hair to make sure there aren't any wavy spots. Use the ceramic flat iron to smooth out any spots that need a little more work.
If you follow these simple steps you will find that using a ceramic flat iron is simple. You will produce great results and your hair will be stunning.
