The Joy of High Speed Internet

Here I am again, punching away at my computer. I tell ya, I can't imagine where I'd be without this dream machine. If you're anything like me, you depend on your computer and high speed Internet service everyday for a number of routine chores and communication with others.

We may have high speed internet now, but it has only been around a short time. It was long ago that we had to make do with a dial up service to get on the world wide web. It was like a bad dream.

As soon as you would press the connect button you would get this horrible squeeking noise that would get right in your ears. Makes me shudder just thinking about it. High speed internet has helped me say goodbye to those nightmare days.

You see, the problem wasn't only how slow the web pages loaded or your email sent; it was the fact that you could get kicked off at any given time. This doesn't occur with cable high speed Internet service. But with that pesky dial-up I was booted out of cyberspace on a regular basis.

Sometimes it was because a fellow family member picked up the telephone and I lost connection. However, most of the time it was just due to customer overload.

It seems that I was using a very popular dial up internet service, because I would get kicked out many time a day, ususally while doing something important on my computer. It got frustrating having to keep re-writing emails over and over.

These days there's no more reason to fret. Millions of us enjoy wireless high speed Internet service with our little laptops in-hand. It's hard to imagine that it can get any better than this, but I'm sure it will. It always does.

High speed internet just keeps getting faster and more available. I love it. Bye bye screeching, hello internet!
