T1 Connection Ideas and Trends

By: Groshan Fabiola

If you are thinking about getting a T1 connection, it is a good idea to look into T1 prices. This is very important, because you do not want to overpay for what you have already. It is a good idea to look into all the different prices of T1 so that you do not overpay for a bad connection.

If this is the case, you should keep your eyes open to all the T1 connections that are available to you. Keep in mind when looking for a good T1 connection that bandwidth is a very important factor.

It is good to know that as bandwidth usage continues to increase as a result of bandwidth hungry applications like video on demand and graphic heavy applications the price of bandwidth will continue to drop.

For now, you can enjoy T1's and good luck finding a good t1 price. Remember that telecommunications contracts can be much like a marriage and as you should all know there are good and bad marriages. When you enter into a telecommunications contract with a T1 provider for reasonable amount of bandwidth or voice service you will have to enter into a long term contract.

Also good to know is that telecommunications contracts for T1's and T1's range from one to three years. If there is something just a little longer than a three year contract is only seen in large applications like OC3 and OC12 for the most part. While the term of the contract will not be a problem if you have a good provider, the contract could prove extremely burdensome with the wrong provider.
Similar to telecommunications services, T1 prices have been falling for the last few years.

The amount of companies offering service has exploded recently. With more competition in the marketplace service providers have to reduce their prices to attract customer and keep them from going to competitors.

Additionally, service providers are desperate to keep margins but even more desperate to keep adding customers.
The soft economy and crash of the stock market has also contributed to the reduction in T1 price. Since the peak of the market in not too long ago, several companies have gone out of business and no longer require service.

Therefore, there is a smaller pie available and there are plenty of telecom providers trying to get their share.
One good thing to do is to suggest using a broker to walk you through your options and show you the providers and services available. Remember that the t1 provider you select will be your partner for quite some time so take caution in your decision. The worst part of being with a bad provider is the fact that it will affect your business.

Dropped calls or an internet connection that goes down can be disastrous to a business. When shopping for a T1 provider you should suggest using a broker and asking for referrals from current customers to give you an indication of what you can expect.

A broker or independent agent can help reduce the time it takes you to shop around for a T1 provider by asking you the questions once and searching through multiple providers to get the service that is right for you.

The agent helps steer clear of the bias you will receive when speaking with one vendor as the agent will be paid no matter which service you choose.
