Steroid Use Chilled The Latino Heat!

The Latino Heat – Eddie Guerrero was good friend of Chris Benoit, who along with his wife Nancy, and their 7-year-old son Daniel, were found dead in mysterious state at their Fayetteville, Georgia home on June 25, 2007.

The subsequent investigations in the Benoit deaths revealed that Benoit murdered his wife by strangling her, and then killed his son before hanging himself in the house's weight room.

Several controlled substances, including injectable anabolic steroid drugs were found in Benoit's home. The agencies revealed that Benoit was an excessive buyer of injectable steroid shots.

According to the media speculations, the Benoit tragedy was the negative effect of steroid use; 'roid rage’ was responsible for the tragedy.

Eddie Guerrero’s was also found dead in mysterious state on Nov. 13, 2005, in a Minneapolis hotel room. The common thing between the Eddie’s death and Benoit’s death was believed to be steroid use.

According to the Associated Press News Agency, the official cause of Eddie Guerrero’s death on November 13 was “arteriosclerotic heart disease, which is another term for coronary heart disease, or a narrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart.”

The coroner who performed the autopsy officially announced Eddie’s death due to heart disease, complicated by an enlarged heart resulting from a history of anabolic steroid use.

Eddie had an enlarged heart and other organs most likely due to steroid use. Steroid use is very common in professional sports, particularly bodybuilding, wrestling, weightlifting, nowadays. The professional jocks often use steroid drugs or substances to enhance their muscle growth, performance, and healing injuries in many cases.

Many wrestlers who are often busy and due to their extremely busy schedule they can’t devote the full time to work outs needed to stay in top physically as well as in the sports, thus they turn to steroid and growth hormones to help them stay atop and add to their muscle mass.

According to the sources, Eddie was much smaller in early days weighing under 170 pounds and wrestling as a cruiserweight, but he amazingly bulked up after he joined WWE in early 2000.

The years of steroid use chilled the Latino Heat. Thus steroid abuse took away the wrestler who was one of a kind and won’t ever be replaced. Eddie’s death however moved Vince McMahon to institute both a new drug policy and a rigorous cardiovascular heath program in WWE.
