Now with the advent of broadband technologies the multiplayer domain has been redefined to massively multiplayer games. Java and flash completely changed the way one could use Internet.

The web sites could now display streaming videos and play audio. Later Microsoft started integrating the flash into IE, which shifted the domain of Internet from just being a data-sharing medium to provide on demand entertainment service. The player of the game uses some special types of code to change the game experience and get an undue advantage over other players.

Cheating exists in all the multiplayer games as well as in single player games. Cheat codes used in a single player game provides the single player an advantage to play the free game and makes the game easier but when the domain is that of a multiplayer game then cheating and cheat codes become a trouble as it provides undue advantage to the player who knows the cheat codes.

The game developers thus try their best to prevent cheating in multiplayer games. When a game is developed it is provided with many features. There are many ways a cheater can change or modify the game in accordance to his/her favor.
