One Tree Hill: Season 5 Fast Forward - New Faces
By: Groshan Fabiola
The CW has recently released through installments their One Tree Hill fast forward videos, which gave fans and viewers a sneak peek into things that will happen in the show's upcoming fifth season. So far, the videos have shown cast favorites Lucas, Nathan, Haley, Peyton, Brooke and even Mouth. Some have hoped to see what has become of Dan Scott, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to make it into the sneaks. However, the last video did introduce us to ten new characters that will be part of One Tree Hill's season 5.
Executive producer Joe Davola previously explained that they approached the fifth season premiere as a whole new pilot episode. Basically, everything's new, as the rules have changed as well as the looks of the veteran characters. These new characters, on the other hand, pave way for more interactions and storylines to unfold.
The new characters include Lindsey (Michaela McManus), Lucas' attractive book editor, Mia (Kate Voegele), a timid musical artist who eventually learns to rock and Jason, a self-absorbed wannabe rock star played by THE Kevin Federline.
Other new characters on the list are Victoria , the CEO of Brooke's fashion line, Clothes Over Bros. Victoria seems to be a woman who thinks highly of herself and is determined to succeed, much like Brooke, whom we guess she would get into conflict with. There's also Millicent (Lisa Goldstein), Brooke's young assistant who is described as the female version of Mouth (Lee Norris). Maybe the two would get together?
Owen (Joe Manganiello) is a bartender who has been there and done that with the girls on the show, and is described as a guy with a complicated past. This may be a point of intrigue.
Moreover, there's Quentin, the arrogant new player for the Ravens, whom we guess may get into conflict with new team coach Lucas. There's also Carrie (Torrey DeVitto), the hot nanny working for Nathan and Haley. She's pretty, and may serve as a temptation for Nathan to stray from Haley.
Lastly, there's Jamie (Jackson Brundage), the now four-year-old son of Nathan and Haley who has become the focal point of the series.
Fans will have to watch and see how these new characters will play into various storylines involving the old characters, whom we all hope the show will still focus on. One Tree Hill returns on Tuesday, January 8, with a two-hour premiere.
