Can you find a legitimate home based business opportunity? The truth is that there are more scams than legitimate opportunities on the Internet. In a recent government study of these offers of increased wealth and independence, an astonishing 81% were found to be nothing more that frauds.
Ever heard the saying that if something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is? The same can be said when finding an Internet business opportunity. It is a sad reality that there are con artists sitting out there waiting for you to send them money.
The first step on your journey is finding out how to spot the legitimate sites from the scams. This can be a bit overwhelming at first, but you will soon turn pro at spotting these scam sites. Then you can continue on your journey to independence.
There are several ways to examine if a site is a scam. One is to type the site into a search engine along with the word “scam”. If there have been victims of a scam site, you can bet people have shared there experience online. There are several sites that exist for the sole purpose of reporting scams. Find these sites and bookmark them for easy access. When you are not familiar with a site, go check out what others have to say about it.
Don’t make the assumption that all is well if you cannot find any information on the site in question. It might be a new site or its victims haven’t reported anything yet. Don’t let yourself be the first one. Inspect every opportunity closely before joining. Most scam sites look different yet run the same scam. The trick is to learn the clues and you will be able to spot these right away.
A help section, current and detailed information, working links and support are always available on legitimate sites. If the site in question is missing any or all of these that is a big warning sign that the site should be avoided. Legitimate sites will always offer support for their products or offers.
So, if others ask you, “Are Internet home business opportunities legitimate?” you now know how to answer. It is important to pass this information on to others who may be interested in work from home businesses but are unsure of how to proceed. Not only will you save them a lot of time, and money, but you will keep that money out of the scammer’s hands.
