Every major city in the United States, not to mention a few minor ones, has a zoo. The majority of these zoos are exactly the same. Before you ever set foot in them you can already list exactly what your day will consist of. You will walk around, look at a few animals, grab a hot dog or two from a vendor, buy a cheap trinket to remember your common trip to the zoo with, and go back to your hotel. Of course, you do have the animals. That is a given fact. Even in this category, though, the Miami Metro Zoo tends to excel above most others. For example, many zoos will have a pair of bears, generally the same species and often Brown Bears, as Brown Bears are the most common. The Miami Metro Zoo, however, has Grizzly Bears, Brown Bears, Malayan Sun Bears, Sloth Bears, Himalayan Bears, and even polar bears. There is more to this fantastic urban wildlife jungle than merely animals. There are also a wide variety of other attractions, such as "Diego at Miami Metro zoo. In this attraction, the little children will thrill to find that the popular cartoon character, Diego, is actually putting on shows here. Everyday at 1:30 P.M. you'll find Diego going on one adventure after another, putting very wide smiles on the face of the many on looking children.

Cool Water on a Hot Day

If you don't mind the kids getting a little on the soggy side, then take them over to the playground and water play areas. Here there are tons of fun water slide experiences where the kids can just basically run around, get wet, and have an awesomely good time. If you like the water aspect of the park, but not the getting wet part, then may we suggest the luxury and fun of water cycling. This sort is where you rent a water cycle, resembling a small pontoon, and you paddle around the zoo lake. There is no minimum or maximum speed, so paddle as slow or fast as you want. The main point of this is just a moment of sitting and relaxation while still being able to enjoy the zoo park.
