Miley Cyrus: Studying While On Tour

Surely, the life of a 15-year-old pop star entails a lot of hard work and a constantly full schedule, but Miley Cyrus, who plays the titular role on Disney's original series, Hannah Montana, is one to admit that she does strive to live a normal life despite her superstardom. The young singer/actress is currently working on her 54-date North American Best of Both Worlds concert tour, and while she was at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois last Saturday, she was able to take time off to spill some details about her road life and what's it like to handle the pressures of performing and school work all at the same time.

For a 15-year-old pop icon who has everything she could possibly wish for, Cyrus still sees value in education, and this is the reason why a lot of young kids look up to her as a role model.

"I just do normal things. I still have school for three hours every day," she said. "Then instead of soccer after school or cheerleading practice, I go do a concert."

"My teacher travels with me [during the Best of Both Worlds concert tour]. I love my teacher dearly, but, she expects a lot from me. I didn't understand that at first, but now I'm really happy that she did," the young actress confessed. "I'm supposed to be in the ninth grade but I'm doing 10th and 11th grade work. And I'm looking at things from all these colleges already."

Aside from her concert tour, Cyrus is also busy doing preliminary work on the upcoming Hannah Montana: The Movie, a film adaptation of the hit Disney television series. Film production has not officially commenced yet, though a lot of brainstorming has been done, and a script has already been written, focusing on the Stewart family's return to Tennessee .

As of now, Cyrus is enjoying working hard on her career, with the many rare opportunities it entails.

"It's crazy. But I love never knowing what my next step is gonna be. It's always fun to be surprised with something new [to do]," she said.
