Marketing Tips For PPC Management

By: Kirt Christensen

When you develop a product after people tell you what it is that they want, it takes the guesswork out of sales. Perhaps you have contemplated writing a some software for automotive repair work. You want to design it for the diy crowd and it helps with engine diagnostic and increasing fuel efficiency up to 5 mpg.

If a guy bought your software (which you haven't written yet), he could buy a cable at Radio Shack, take his computer into his garage, hook it up to his car, and the software would collect a load of data and display it on the screen. Your program would then tell the guy what to tweak in his engine.

Seems like a peachy idea to me. How can you know if there is a demand for your software. You want to know how deep the water is before you dive in. You don't want to waste time writing a piece of software that there is no demand for. This is the way you find out:

1. Compose a paper titled "How To Diagnose Your Engine To Improve Fuel Efficiency". You can make that an ebook, whitepaper, or how-to guide. This paper will detail how to accomplish this the hard way. You take three days, spreadsheets, Radio Shack connectors and all!

2. Head for Google and hit on starter keywords. Find all of the major terms related to engine diagnostics.

3. Post an ad.

On your home page will be a sales letter that lets visitors know about your ebook or whitepage. Following up with a series of emails with more info about your page.

4. Collect feedback and ideas from customers.

5. You can either sell your ebook or give it away gratis. But you have to have a plan. At the same time that you are marketing your ebook, advance your cause with your buyers.

6. You want to get your customers actual thoughts on your true product. What are they saying? Is interest expressed? Are they asking when the release date is? Do they want to pay you now just so they can have it first? If this is the case than you are on the winning track.

7. Start selling your product and watch the profits build.

You heard your customers; you created a product along the lines of what they asked for; you confirmed their interest, and when you give them precisely what they want, the cash register will ring out.
