If you have business associates who use facebook or are a fan of an individual who has a profile setup on Facebook, comment on it. Let them know you were stopping by to say hello. Offer some good advice if you know them well. Ask them about their weekend. If you don't know the person your commenting on, just say hi and that you enjoyed reading about them in their profile.

Create and list your events if you are launching a new service or starting a new business. Let everyone in your profile know by inviting them to the event and RSVP'ing if they are going to attend. This is a nice way of getting the word out about your new product, service or business.

Share information, helpful tips, offer feedback, provide resources, offer valuable information to your group to establish your credibility and expertise. This is the best way to stay connected to a group of people who share similar interests like you. Its also the best way to acquire potential customers for your products or services.

Facebook is a great place to introduce yourself to a ton of new people who may also become customers and/or clients. Just keep one thing in mind: don't get too carried away and spend all your time there. Facebook is a tool, part of your marketing strategy. Use the tips above, use them wisely and have a little fun at the same time. Facebook can be a great tool and should be part of your online marketing strategy. Use the tips I just gave you to introduce yourself to a ton of new individuals. These individuals just may become a potential customer, client, or long lasting friend.
