Make Your Website Sticky as Sticky Buns
By: Darryl Harris
Am I stupid? Talking about wanting you to make your website sticky. Is that like smearing jelly on your computer monitor?
What a shocking, expensive and insane idea!
What it really means in Internet marketing circles is: when a visitor to your site finds something of great interest that makes them want to come back to your site over and over regularly. You must think of ways to make them want to bookmark your site and return.
You have put in a lot of work figuring out whether to make a niche, affiliate, or Adsense site. Plus, then building your pages. After that, a lot of effort was given to driving traffic there. What you of course don't want is for someone to find your site and in a few seconds think "well...nothing here of interest. Think I will move on to the next"
How do you get someone to return to your website again and again? A great way to do this is to make people interested in your niche want to hang out there and talk to one another. But how?
Some ways this could be done on your site by running a chat room, a discussion forum or a bulletin board. These are some excellent ways to get people to come back every day or even more than once a day. Most hosts today already have these sort of things ready to go with just a few mouse clicks.
Here are some ways to attract people to participate in your "community" by telling them the privileges:
* Show them all the benefits they will get.
* Regularly schedule experts in your niche as guests.
* Create an ezine just for those who use these services to remind them of special upcoming events.
* Give free offers available only to members every week, month or even every day.
* Have available, for only members, some of your best tips and time saving techniques in their niche.
That is just a handful of ideas to get you brainstorming to get things in gear.
Search engines just absolutely adore fresh new content. Guess what... with a member involved site like this, that is happening all the time, day and night!
So come on, make your website sticky.Get those brain cells working along the lines of "what can I do to get my first time visitor to come back every single day and participate on my website?"
Your website will soon begin to take flight.
Also, a huge bonus is the search engines love you.
Pretty sweeeeeeet!
