How to be a successful parallel entrepreneur
By: Clint Jhonson
There are now hundreds of success stories about web turned parallel entrepreneurs. In fact, if you are one of those web entrepreneurs who have already achieved the accomplishment that you have initially aimed for, you can easily opt to become a parallel entrepreneur without having to risk too much. But what exactly does it mean to become a parallel entrepreneur? Well, as the term itself suggest, you become one if you are running two businesses at the same time. A parallel entrepreneur is one who is not satisfied with only one kind of business running, and would obviously like to earn more.
It is undeniably difficult to become a parallel entrepreneur. However, web entrepreneurs and those who provide services find it easier to venture into another business. Of course, your main goal in operating in parallel is to double (or even triple) your cash flow without risking too much of your finances. Despite the risk, it is only through being a parallel entrepreneur that you can earn up to twice as much at half the time.
If you have already long been a web entrepreneur, you should have gained ample experience in operating a web-based business. You would already know what you need to put one up, and how the process you need to go through for start-up. If you have been around for a while, you should already have established your name as a trusted web entrepreneur, and your site as a reliable and trustworthy one. You may already have established loyal customers and have built good relationships with a number of them. You can actually use all these to your advantage as tools to make your next business venture easier. You already know what needs to be done, when they need to be done and how to conduct business. You can sell to them same customers, and these are those that you have already known so well so you know exactly what they need.
The main secret to being a successful parallel entrepreneur is to manage every part of your every business very well. Remember that each of your projects or businesses, once you launch them, will need your attention and focus. You can not stand compromising one for the other, or vice versa. This is probably one of the most difficult aspects to achieve. However, proper management is a skill that is learned with time and experience. Ideally, before venturing into another business, you should have already developed some skills that could enable you to stretch yourself further to become a parallel entrepreneur. If you get the management part right, there is no reason for you not to gain success in your next business and in your succeeding ones. If you, as a web entrepreneur turned parallel entrepreneur, can figure out how you can manage your work load, time and effort, you will surely be able to operate in parallel not only for two, but three (or even more) projects, and persist successfully for a long time.
