The Mona Lisa of Beaches

Just about everyone that has been on a regular vacation outing has spent a considerable amount of time on one beach or another, whether it was Myrtle Beach or Virginia Beach. Beaches are the number one vacation attractions of all time on an international level. In short, everyone simply loves the beach. However, what if there were a certain beach or beaches that all other beaches were just a pale reflection of. Would you visit this Mona Lisa of beaches? Of course you would, and they do exist. The worlds' ultimate beach experiences can be found in only one place, and that is the Hawaiian Islands. Three of these world class beach front experiences can be found on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, all within the vicinity of the Vacation paradise of Honolulu.

Hanauma Bay Marine Reserve

Possibly the most beautiful beach in the world is to be found on Kalanianaole Highway in Honolulu. This is the Hanauma Bay Marine Preserve. This is a horseshoe shaped massive cove where the wildlife is protected. Due to the extent that the Hawaiian Islands have gone to make this place a safe refuge for sea life, it is absolutely crowded with undersea wildlife. You will likely find more sea creatures seeing sanctuary here than anywhere else in the entire islands. The water is calm here making it suitable for any age visitor. The beauty is all encompassing, from the lovely palm trees that line the backside of the beach all the way to the tranquil baby blue crystal clear waters.

Waikiki Beach

If you are looking for a beach that is a little closer to the city, but still retains the air of natural tropical beauty, then there is the famed Waikiki Beach. This is the number one most visited beach on the island of Oahu, largely due to the fact that it is just a short walk away from the city of Honolulu and all the attractions therein. This scenic beach stays crowded during the daytime, but the evenings are the best time to visit anyway. This is a romantic couples dream spot for an evening walk on the beach or to just sit and watch the white capped waves reach ever upward for the sandy shore.

The North Shore

Lastly, but by far not least, is the North Shore beach. This is a popular tourist beach in that it is lined with some of the most luxurious and popular hotels and attractions that the island of Oahu has to offer. Though much of the beach front trees and natural atmosphere has fallen before the frontage of the ever growing city, if you are willing to take a walk up or down the beach it begins to get more of the traditional feel. This is a very popular beach for the sunbathers and the high-class section of society.

Every beach in the world is an experience itself, but when someone develops a mental picture of a beach holiday or getaway vacation, the image of tropical palm trees, seashells and turquoise blue crystalline waters comes to mind. This is because these are the premier beaches, the ultimate in dream beaches, and they can all be found on the tropical paradise island of Oahu, home of the vacation dream of Honolulu.
