Free Lead Generation Solutions for Any Product or Program!
By: Sue McLaughlin
Lead Generation solutions are critical for every business but are also one of the biggest expenses. Using free lead generation techniques can help to free up business capital for other purposes.
No business can exist without a reasonable lead generation solution. All businesses, whether they are small or large, online or offline, home-based or brick-and-mortar require a steady stream of good prospects investigating what they have to offer. However, as most business owners can attest, business leads can be expensive and often they aren't worth the expense in resulting sales.
In the home-based and online business arena, owners have been traditionally been trained to use leads purchased from vendors for voice mail, email and cold-calling campaigns. However, because these leads are usually generated with generic capture pages, the information collected is often not very reliable and certainly not targeted to the product being marketed. Although using purchased leads as a lead generation solution used to be a workable option, it is quickly becoming less of one.
It is rare to find a list of leads that have correct information on everything - in fact it probably never happens! Even for the supposedly targeted leads, which can be very expensive to purchase. It can be frustrating to spend a bunch of money on a batch of leads that end of having incorrect information.
Trying to find adequate lead generation solutions is an ongoing endeavor for most businesses. Everyone knows that generating your own lead creates a far more targeted prospect and converts much better. However, there are not many business people who really know how to generate their own leads and that can generate a volume required to ensure an appropriate number of sales every month.
What is the solution to this problem? The obvious answer would be to get trained on methods of creating targeted prospects that want what they have to offer. Obvious but not easy! And even better, mix in free lead generation techniques that can ease their lead expense.
Training is everywhere but not comprehensive. There are numerous techniques including articles, ezines, classifieds, forums, magazine, pay-per-click, press releases, web 2.0, blogging, etc. The list is enormous and the information everywhere. Businesses have two options...once they have decided to venture into creating their own leads.
First they can decide which technique to start with (which in and of itself can be difficult) and purchase information on that. Then, go to the next and so on. This is both time consuming, expensive and confusing. Secondly, they can get involved with a program that teaches all of the techniques (or most of them) ... both the "tried and true" and the newer ones.
A comprehensive program would include traditional methods such as ezine advertising, etc., include free lead generation techniques and include more expensive ones such as PPC. The delivery would include video, audio and written so that everyone's learning style is covered. And the author would be someone who has been there, done that and is still doing so.
In conclusion, the most reasonable approach for any type of business, is to create their own lead generation solutions... both free and paid. This will not only be the least expensive in the long run but also create the most targeted list of prospects. In order to do this, find a program that will put everything together for the easiest and most efficient learning process. Build your list, increase your sales and decrease expenses.
