Electronic Book Features

By: Stephen Beck

Once you have written your e-book, you are eager to sell it online. In this article, I will discuss the features of an electronic book, and describe how you can drive sales and get the attention you deserve.

Before you sell your e-book, what should you include?

1. Title Page & Copyright - The title page can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Try to use a font that is easy to read. If you have an e-book cover, you may want to use that as the title page. The next page should include your copyright information.

2.The Body - Just like in high school, your writing should include an introduction, the main body, and a conclusion. Provide your customers with great information to keep them satisfied.

3.Clickable Links - Clickable links embedded in your e-book will help customers find your website and purchase products. At least two of these links should be specifically to help your reader find out more on your niche. If your links are not clickable, you will not benefit from a stream of traffic to your website.

4. Resource Box - At the end of your e-book, be sure to include a resource box that tells your reader more about you and the resources you offer. If your e-book is well written, your reader will want to know more. So, tell them where they can get more information about that topic.

5. Bonus Items - I always include bonus items for my buyers. These may be audio workshops, transcripts, Camtasia videos, or special reports. Give each bonus item a value so the total value of the package is much greater than the price of the e-book.

These five features of an electronic book can help you plan your e-book. Through careful planning, you can increase profits, boost sales, and get the online attention you deserve.
