They can steer you to the best areas within a particular industry and give you a good idea on the types of skills current employers want in your area. A good mentor is someone in your company who can help you get the training you want by pulling a few strings.
Now that you know that there are various ways to get you started on your career training, you might be trying to decide which one to choose. There is no one answer because each person is different. After you’ve narrowed the list to two or three start trying to meet in those areas. Talk to them and share how your skills will enhance their company.
