Boosting your traffic through free article directories

Websites + Traffic + Ads/Products = Money. Each veteran internet market webmaster and blogger would certainly agree to this simple equation. Following this simple equation is all it takes to make money online.
Now that you have decided to take the challenge of making your presence online felt or that you now decided to join the blogging bandwagon, the problem you have to face now is how to bring the traffic in. There are thousands of ways to do this as there are a thousand ways to kill a cat. Some of them may cost you money, while others are entirely free.
There is no question that we want to bring in traffic without spending for it. But how is this done? One subtle way of doing this is to write valuable articles for free. When you submit to free article hubs you not only spread your thoughts all over the internet, you also get a lot of free advertisment for your site since other webmasters or bloggers will also use your free article in their blog or website. Most of the sites or blogs that copies and post your articles usually places your authors biography and a links back to your blog or site. After the lapse of a considerable period of time, these backward links will eventually grow in number and will help to further push your site ranking higher.
Not all backward links to your site are valuable. Search engines give more value to links to your site from other sites whose content are somehow related to your site. Writing free valuable articles are so much better in promoting your site than random link exchange programs or other methods or ways of trying to improve your sites ratings since most likely web masters will only try to feature articles that they feel are related to their sites.
My blog is less than 3 months old as of the time the writing of this article but I have submitted more than a dozen articles already to different article hubs. That is why I got a Google page rank of 2 (P.R - 2) even if my site is only less than 3 months old. Some sites have been there for more than year yet they barely make it to P.R - 1. What is worse is that other sites are still at P.R - 0.
However take note that it may cost you some time when submit your articles to free article archives. But in the end your sacrifices is sure to pay off.
