Are you happy?

Does it sound silly asking that question?
It may sound ridiculous but this question could really make or break your physical heath status. Believe me I am not joking.
I noticed a long time ago that happy people tend to be more healthy. At first, I thought that a person who was healthy had to be happy, and that was the reason for this connection, but lately I've become more and more convinced that happiness and a positive attitude are actually the key to good health.
The experiment which I am doing is with a single habit related to happiness that seems to have an amazing healing power. This little habit or thing is done by everyone from time to time but not regularly, has been proved to heal many life threatening conditions.
What's this simple habit?
Laughter!
Laughter is not just relaxing and a lift to your spirit, it also has several physical effects that are extremely healing. For example, laughter increases the oxygen your blood carries throughout your body. I use a simple laughter exercise in my migraine and headache program that often immediately sooths headaches. It prevents oxygen deprivation in the brain.
In order to relax your muscles you need to laugh. Laughter causes the muscles around your breathing passage to relax, so if you laugh before going to sleep it can help you to improve snoring and in sleep apnea. People who suffers from TMJ should laugh as it helps to relax the jaw muscles. While laughing your body does sends out natural pain relief hormones.
Laughter does also reliefs anxiety, in any conditions caused due to anxiety partly or totally could be healed by laughing.
A couple visited me for a session a few years back. The person was suffering from erectile dysfunction which was probably physical, I did prescribed certain exercises to follow and they began to see the progress and there sex life became better.
But after three weeks , the problem was still persisting. I saw that they were taking the matter very seriously. They did have a big sense of fear that he would be soft.
I told them not to worry and make some sort of jokes and laugh when this problem exists. The lady was supportive and followed my instructions immediately. Then the next time it happened she did made a comment (which wouldn't be proper to repeat on a public blog) which made both of them to roar with laughter.
Believe me, they never had an erectile problem afterwards. The same approach did work out with many other clients who were suffering from premature ejaculation. Never take it so seriously, just joke and laugh.
If suffering from blood pressure then it is necessary to laugh as it is very essential to relax. Laughter is the best relaxation medicine and it the best medication I know.
A friend of mine is a doctor and specializes in cancer in Austria. His success rate is twice than the other doctors of the country. The secret is that he often gets a group of his patients to talk about their cases which is known as the relaxed group therapy. Every morning he begins his session by going around the room and having everybody there to tell him their favorite joke.
So, laugh and you will see that the world is laughing with you, and you will feel much better both mentally and physically.
