Are MLM Systems Important?

By: joe cotroneo

Signing up for an MLM Opportunity can be exciting. The mind swirls with the idea of a large residual income and the ability to do as you please. Once this initial fantasy subsides you have some very important matters to consider.

Duplication is the key to success in the MLM Business. In addition to recruiting new distributors, don't overlook a sytematic approach to product sales. Many large MLM businesses were built using product sales as the prime catalyst for orginizational growth. Large product sales also means a larger income sooner than just recruiting distributors alone.

In regard to product sales an example is made here. Suppose you had 100 distributors each purchasing $50 a month. Another organization in the same company has only 30 people, but they average around $300 a month each in product sales. The 1st group moved only $5000 in a month while the 2nd group with only 30 distributors managed to move $9000 in product. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know who made the most money.

You must have a duplicatable system anyone can use. Since most MLM companies have "poor" tools for the distributor to use, look to your upline to get the tools you need. This may take the form of autoresponders preloaded with outgoing messages, a good lead source, and perhaps an effective lead capture page.

It is not a new thing to use a system to promote your MLM business. Practically every MLM company and line of sponsorship have systems available. What you do with the system is what will make your opportunity the special one everyone wants to get involved with.

Let me give you an example of what one MLMer does to make over $1,000,000 a year. He uses the systems available; but he calls them and mails a postcard to his prospects. He only calls when he knows the prospect won't be home and just leaves a generic message on their answering service introducing himself and his company. He signs up more people than you can imagine! He stands out because he uses 3 different modes of contact: the Internet (using a lead capture page along with many followup autoresponder messages), the telephone and snail mail.

Since most people are ONLY using the Internet these days, why not consider standing out from the crowd yourself. Also use postcards and the telephone answering machine method. Teach your downline to do what you do, and you will see your downline grow tremendously.

To really be a success, you must add the personal touch to any "cold" and impersonal system.
