Anti Aging Eye Cream Is a Must
By: Geoff Hopkins
Most parts of the face and body have fat stores beneath the skin; these fat stores reduce the effects of aging by keeping the skin looking supple and youthful. In contrast, the skin in the area around the eyes has no oil glands or fat store, and is more delicate than other skin.
Because the eye area is so sensitive, it should be protected by the daily use of an anti aging eye cream. The skin around the eyes is highly susceptible to damage caused by environmental conditions and physical injury and a high quality eye cream will be very beneficial. Using a good cream should improve the hydration, texture and firmness of the skin and a high quality cream will reduce damage considerable.
The regime recommended by dermatologists involves applying an alpha hydroxy acid type cream to the area. It is advisable to use eye wrinkle creams prior to other face products as this gives maximal benefits. However, alpha hydroxy acid creams should be used with caution because they will strip away dead skin and expose the new skin underneath. This treatment is not suitable for all skin types.
Our eyes are an important area of our appearance, particularly since most people will look at our eyes when we greet them. The skin around the eyes is the first area to show the signs of aging, and most people do not want to meet the world with eyes that have crow's feet, creases or puffiness. Both men and women are therefore searching for a high quality anti aging eye cream.
The effects of the sun play a huge role in aging of the eye area so it is sensible to use a cream that contains an SPF agent to prevent UV damage. Sun damage also depletes vitamins A and D so a cream with these vitamins along with soothing vitamin E is also advisable.
When looking for an eye cream, an important factor is to find a cream that will absorb quickly to make most use of the beneficial ingredients, and not make the area greasy. Greasy creams can make it difficult to add further products, like foundation and make-up, to the face and can also cause infections of the pores.
There is a line of eye creams that are made of all natural products derived from a wide range of earth-produced materials. These creams may contain sunflower, almond, or nutmeg oils and even an extract made from seaweed.
It is important to realize that there is no wonder cream that will magically transform us back to our youth. There are however numerous proven anti aging eye cream products on the market that will repair damage to the eye area, prevent further damage and help to maintain the current condition of the eye area.
