By giving some time, consideration, and critical thought to these subjects, you can begin to analyze feng shui to see if it there are any real scientific principles that can be applied.
Use of Color In Feng Shui
When we analyze feng shui in regards to the way it uses color, we start by understanding the way colors can affect our moods. Many people are energized by bright or lively colors. It's hard to stay perky in a room that's entirely black. Stark, dull colors can bring you down and even trigger depression.
That's why many people choose to decorate their kitchens in shades of orange or yellow. When we analyze the feng shui principle of using these colors in this room, we realize that they're associated with sanitation, cleanliness, and an upbeat feelings.
Feng Shuis Lack of Clutter
If you analyze feng shui, you will see that clutter and excessive items are not recommended. Clutter has been shown to make people feel anxious and stressed. Clutter is a constant reminder of things that need to be done, such as broken appliances, laundry that needs to be folded, socks that need darning and so on. This nagging voice in the back of your head will do nothing to encourage positive energy.
Analyze Feng Shui for Your Own Home
How can you apply these two basic principles in your own home? Well, you dont need to be a decorator or an interior designer to understand color. Take a good, honest look at each room of your home. How do you feel when you stand in the doorway? Are you energized, do you feel drawn into that room? Or does the overall look and feel depress you; do you avoid this room for any particular reason? When you analyze feng shui, you need to be able to have that overall look for your homes rooms as well.
Of course, there aren't any sure rules about what constitutes clutter. Just remember to be honest when you make your assessment. Ask yourself if the things you've been holding onto are adding value to your life or just bringing you down. Decide what type of energy you perceive when looking at them, and thing about whether or not you're keeping things for good or bad reasons. Don't hang onto items "just in case". The negative energy you bring into your home is much greater than the uses these items might have.
If you just take a few minutes to analyze feng shui and see how it can work in your home and in your life, you'll see that it has a lot of ways to benefit you. Follow these simple principles and see your life improve.
