Affiliate Marketing, Are There Really Secrets To Be Successful?

Affiliate marketing has been around longer than I'd like to remember, it has been called by different names at different times. When You stop and think about it, how much different is affiliate marketing from MLM? The only real difference is that with MLM you have to buy monthly product and hope you can sell the product to others.

Affiliate Marketing doesn't require you to buy a monthly product in order to make money. That is perhaps the number one killer of MLM, and the fact that most people who join MLM companies do not even like the products they are selling. Affiliate Marketing how-ever, does have other set backs. You are in competition with others, sometimes a lot more people than you would like to think. There are tools out there that will give you that kind of information.

I get the ads in my inbox that go something like this: "beach bum rakes in $236,943 in 30 days" or Deaf Nerd makes $246,359 after doing just one thing to his ad campaigns. It is almost like reading the National Enquirer when you pass through the check out stand at the super market. But who can blame them for trying.

Marketing is the key word here, and how affective you are at marketing depends on how successful you are at selling your self. Unfortunately It comes with a price. The price you pay depends on two things, your willingness to fork over big bucks for advertising by way of PPC or other using classifieds or large print articles that start at around $2,500 a month.

What about the tools you are going to need to be successful? The same ones that the majority of marketers use even if they do not do affiliate marketing. Let's see there is the Autoresponder, classified ads, Color ads, Lying, opps, I didn't mean to say that but I really question the ethics of some marketers and when your customer buys from you and questions you, it is goodbye Johnny boy.

One of the things you can do as an affiliate that you can not do with some products or services is make yourself known from one corner of the Internet globe to the next, and I mean that literally. A classified ad is only good for a few days and then it is gone. Unless you are saving your old magazines, how long do you think a half page ad at $3,500.00 is going to bring you results?

Do these two things to be successful as an affiliate marketer: 1) Create your own web site of the affiliate product you are going to promote. 2) Submit articles promoting your website, this will increase your rankings with back links and supply you with targeted traffic

Do your visitors have enough information about your product when they come to your site?Do you want to have to answer questions by email? Keeping it simple is the key here. On the other hand, you do not want to go to the other extreme and put your customer to be information overload. Tip, if it takes the potential reader30 minutes to read the site it is too long. You can sell ice to an Eskimo without leaving them in limbo on what you are trying to sell them.
